Deaf woman hears her own voice for the first time!
An overwhelming feeling of joy was felt when Sarah Churman, a 29 year old woman who was born deaf, activated her hearing implant.
She has always relied on hearing aids and but still could not hear properly, and she has lived through life by lip reading. “Hearing aids only help so much,” she says, on her YouTube channel, where she posted a video of her reaction when she could hear her own voice for the first time.
It is a truly life-changing moment where she hears the first sound, with tears of joy streaming, mixed with laughter! We wish Sarah all the best!
