Die Hard made Bruce Willis deaf
Actor Bruce Willis suffered hearing loss after an accident filming Die Hard.
The action superstar still carries the injury and admits he hates having to make people repeat themselves.
He says, "Due to an accident on the first Die Hard, I suffer two-thirds partial hearing loss in my left ear and have the tendency to say, 'Whaaa?'"

Reading this bit of info makes me wonder if there is a really big superstar, at part with like of Willis or Clooney, who has had a severe hearing problem or something parallel? We have heard about the learning disabilities or weight-related struggles of stars, it would be nice to read about someone with a history of an auditory battle that was fought before achieving stardom.

Desmond Tutu has used hearing aids since the seventies, but he's always had hearing loss since childhood. Larry Lamb (Gavin & Stacey) he's using a hearing aid too - the news stories are on www.ascenthearing.co.uk

Unfortunately hearing loss can sometimes be a result of an accident.
