Cochlear wins major design award

Cochlear has won a ‘red dot award:design’ for its Nucleus 5 System, a solution for people with severe to profound hearing loss.

Launched last year, the world’s thinnest and strongest implant combines a new sound processor with features including automotive phone detection and a system designed to aid with daily management.

Established in 1955, the red dot awards are considered amongst the most prestigious in the world, awarding in the three categories of product design/design team, communications design and design concept.
