Big Brother needs you!
The team behind next year’s 'Big Brother' are looking for new housemates, and are keen to represent all sections of society – including deaf/HoH people.
A spokesperson for production company Endemol told Able Magazine: “We’re looking for vibrant contributors for next year’s series. Big Brother is at its best when the house is filled with a diverse bunch of housemates, and we feel it is really important to include someone who has a disability in the next series, which will be the last series of Big Brother on Channel 4.”
Previous housemates have helped challenge preconceptions and educate viewers, according to the company: such as seventh series winner Pete Bennett, who has Tourette’s Syndrome, and blind Scot Mikey, who came second two years ago.
Auditions for Big Brother 11 are taking place across the country from next month:
Manchester Central Convention Complex (15-16 January)
Royal Dublin Society (19 January)
Cardiff International Arena (23 January)
SECC, Glasgow (30 January)
Wembley Arena, London (6-7 February)
All applicants must be 18 or older by May 2010. For more information go to www.channel4.com/bigbrother.
