Sign Tube heads to Taipei for Deaflympics

Deaflympics.jpg Andrew and Caroline Thomson, Directors of Sign Now.com are heading out to Taipei in September this year to cover the Deaflympics. Andrew and Caroline will act as media correspondents for their time in Taipei and will be posting videos of the event on Sign Tube during their two week stay.

The Deaflympics are the second oldest games next to the actual Olympics and were started in 1924. Andrew said: “Sign Tube has an average of 1.3 million hits per month across the globe so we are able to promote a positive image of Deaf people participating in these games.”

With the success of Sign Tube the two Directors are keen to make the most of the opportunity to promote both the Games and their business. There will be over 4000 sign language users from over 80 countries at the event and with the addition of Sign Tube’s audience this makes the Games a truly global marketplace for companies to promote their wares.

Andrew said: “There is a unique opportunity for companies to make use of this two week window to promote their products and services to a huge audience. Sign Tube expects a threefold increase in traffic to the site during the games. We still have space available for advertising slots on Sign Tube available on a first come first serve basis.”

Videos for Sign Tube can be uploaded by individual members for free and organisations can pay to have banner links to their sites or buy space to host video clips.

Andrew said; “Sign Tube is fast becoming the key marketing tool for public and private sector organisations to drive traffic to their web sites and the Games offers a unique opportunity to tap into the world market of Deaf and Sign Language Users.”
