Hearing Times is giving back to charity!
Hearing Times, the only national newspaper for people with hearing loss in the UK, is setting up a campaign to donate money to charities on readers' behalves.
The campaign is being launched to coincide with the newspaper's first birthday in September.
Every time someone subscribes to the newspaper, £1 of their subscription will be donated to an affiliated charity of the subscriber’s choice.
The scheme currently includes five charities: Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, UK Deaf Sport, the British Tinnitus Association, Deaf UK Athletics, the Cochlear Implanted Children’s Support Group, and The Ear Foundation, but we hope more charities will join the scheme in the next few months.
Editor of Hearing Times, Gemma Davidson, said the scheme was about more than donating money.
“These charities have helped our newspaper in its first year,” she said. “This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to those who have helped us so far.”
Subscription to the newspaper is only £15 for a year, which entitles readers to 10 issues of the newspaper, plus full access to the Hearing Times website.
“We are hoping that this campaign will encourage individuals to subscribe to the newspaper, not only because it is a great newspaper but also to help a hearing loss charity as well,” added Gemma.
Subscription forms can be found inside copies of Hearing Times, online or can be requested by emailing editorial@hearingtimes.co.uk.
