Eastwood youngsters help deaf children

Youngsters from Eastwood Rainbows have been raising money to help deaf children.

The girls chose to raise money for the Deaf Association from a choice of 19 charities, as they’d recently all learned sign language.

The cash raised will fund a listening bus - an educational vehicle run by the charity by collecting coins.

To raise the money, the girls took their pennies and put them on template pictures of the bus on the floor. The end total was £41.85, which all went towards the new bus.

The listening bus will be used by schools and other organisations to educate children by offering games and teaching sign language.
