The new video clips summarise ScotRail’s disability policy as well as arrangements which are in place for disabled people. Mr Nyamurundira added. “The video has been translated and filmed by Sign Now at its Grangemouth offices and can be viewed on www.scotrail.co.uk. We are delighted that deaf people will be able to get information about our policies which are in place for disabled people.

“The filming was funded by Transport Scotland which views this activity as a first step towards greater integration of the deaf community into mainstream life."

Chris Clark, Transport Scotland’s rail accessibility manager said, “all disabled people have a right to travel and access information in a format enabling them to make their travel arrangements easier.

"The ScotRail video shows a tremendous commitment from the organisation to ensure that deaf people are informed and made aware of their policies for disabled access. Transport Scotland was only too happy to assist with this innovative approach to communicating with a large group of people who are often overlooked.”
