Doncaster Deaf School's insight into construction work
Students at Doncaster Deaf School have had an insight into the world of construction work from deaf employees at a housing organisation.
St Leger Homes' staff visited the school to discuss careers in the construction industry and used sign language to hold a question and answer session.
Blaine Baumber, St Leger Homes' training co-ordinator and company bricklayers Richard Dove and Nick Coles, who are both deaf, communicated with a number of construction students.
Bobbie Roberts, chairman of Doncaster Deaf Trust said: "We are very pleased to have developed such a close working relationship with St Leger Homes and are always thankful for the time their staff invest in working with our students."

Comments
One of our construction management students is hearing impaired and is having difficulty connecting to the construction industry. Would you be able to help us get this process started?
Any advise is appreciated.
Thank you,
Brian Wasserman

Have you heard of the book Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy? It's a nominee for Best Children's Picture Book and soon to be released as a DVD including sign language interpretation for the deaf. The DVD is fantastic and truly a novel concept. You can contact me at publisher@DannyTheDragon.com to review this DVD if you have interest http://DannyTheDragon.com Thank you, Rosie
