Lunch boosts appeal

A ladies luncheon has raised funds for the Listening for Life Appeal to build a Cochlear Implant Centre at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The lunch was sponsored by Salts Estates and Newmason Properties and was held at Salts Mill in Saltaire. A raffle and an auction raised £4,500 towards the project.

Chris Raine, chairman of The Ear Trust and ENT consultant at BRI gave the opening address and welcomed everyone and thanked them for supporting the event.

The building programme is on schedule for completion in early spring and the charity is hoping to raise another £375,000 to complete the fixtures and fittings.
