Climb every mountain

21 year old Jeremy Millensted, who is profoundly deaf, joined nine physically disabled young people and a TV crew and trekked for four weeks across Ecuador. The adventure will be featured on a TV programme on BBC2 in the spring, called Beyond Boundaries: Across The Andes.

Jeremy had a cochlear implant when he was 12 years old, which allows him to hear sounds and understand speech. Despite some problems with communication with his fellow travellers, he said the whole experience was thrilling.

Jeremy's cochlear implant has also helped him with playing footbal for Alfreton Town and in FA youth squads.
