Everyone needs a friend
The charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is the only charity in the UK which trains dogs to alert deaf people to important household sounds and danger signs.
The charity entirely relies on charitable donations to increase the number of dogs trained earch year and help pay for their training, health checks and vet bills.
Hearing Dogs is asking people if they would like to become a Hearing Dog Friend and in effect sponsor a dog who can help to change the lives of their deaf owners.
About 70 per cent of the dogs trained come from rescue centres or similar, so their lives are transformed as well. Find out more about how you can help.
