Debra Howard, the mother of five-year-old Charlie, who was denied funding for a second cochlear implant by Dorset PCT, has set up the Magic Ear Trust to raise money for families in similar situations.

The trust is now appealing for businesses and individuals in the Blackmore Vale area to donate funds or items for a fundraising sale she is organising.
