25 years of hearing dogs

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People celebrated its 25th anniversary on Sunday 10 June by holding a dog show.

More than 300 people came to the event, held at its Saunderton headquarters where dogs are trained to alert deaf people to specific sounds, whether in the home, workplace or public buildings.

Ruth Dunkin, regional fundraiser for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, said: "Everyone had a really good time and we hope to make it an annual event."
