British footballers win second place in Portugal

The Great Britain men's deaf football team have won silver medals at the 6th European Deaf Football Championships in Portugal after they lost 2-1 to France in Saturday's final, despite Ollie Wilcox's goal giving them the lead after 10 minutes.

They had booked their place in the decider after a 3-1 semi-final win over Ireland, who went on to finish third.

The GB team, Deaflympic champions, beat the Czech Republic, Portugal and Denmark to reach the last four.
