The 16th Winter Deaflympics are now well and truly underway.

Founded in 1924, the Deaflympics is the second oldest international multi-cultural sports event in the world, surpassed only by the Olympic Games which were founded in 1894.

This year the Winter Deaflympics are being held in Salt Lake City, USA, from 1-10 February 2007.
