One in three deaf people unemployed

A report published by the RNID claims that deaf and hard of hearing people are still facing "huge barriers" to employment despite Government pledges to help them back to work.

Research among almost 900 deaf and hard of hearing jobseekers found that half believe that jobcentres are not aware of the problems they are faced with and fewer than two thirds are currently employed.
