Deaf World 2006 will take place on Thursday 19th October at the Milestones Museum in Basingtoke.

The Museum houses a network of full- size late Victorian and 1930s streets complete with period Hampshire houses, shops and buildings and is due to house over 44 stands showcasing the latest products and services.

The exhibition presents an opportunity not only for deaf and hard of hearing people to discover and learn what services are available, but also for hearing people as well, particularly professionals, to learn more about cultural issues, social groups, deaf awareness, and disability discrimination.
