The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA) reports long waits waits across the UK for replacing analogue with digital aids.

The BSHAA, having spoken to 242 UK hospitals, found that patients are having to wait up to five years to have their old hearing aids upgraded on the NHS, making then face 'unecessary exclusion and isolation.'
