Deaf-blogs.com
A group of British deaf people have launched a major new internet service which aims to bring deaf people from across the globe closer together.
Deaf-blogs.com is a new free service which will bring together blogs by deaf people from all over the internet, promoting self-expression in text, images and video to reflect how diverse the international deaf community is.
The new site also offers support and step-by-step guides for anyone who wants to set up and run their own blog or videolog but isn't sure what to do.
The creator of the new service Alison Bryan, said: "At Deaf-blogs.com we hope to encourage more deaf people to read blogs and set up their own so that the independent deaf 'voice' becomes more widely known."

Comments
Hi, I am writing in behalf of a close aunt of mine who's 3 yr daughter (my cousin) is hearing impaired. She has been very successful in making her daughter talk alomost like a regular 3 yr old (with a slight lisp, that's all). She writes a blog (http://impemp.blogspot.com/) in which she mentions her views and advice to parents on how to cope with such a situation and come out the winner. Any of you, facing this challenge, please do read her views and feel free to post your comments. I would especially recommend who are planning to use cochlear implants, to read the blogs before proceeding as she has some views and advice to parents going for this option ("dont go for a cochlear implant if avoidable"). Thanks
