In a very interesting interview with Business Week, Chris Roberts, the Chief Executive of Cochlear, talks about the future of implants.

According to Roberts there will be a huge market in the future for hybrid devices that combine an implant with a hearing aid.

He also believes that bi-lateral implants will become routine within five to ten years.
